Just over a year ago, Nani and her husband left Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to embark on a new chapter in California. Their decision was driven by the search for better living conditions and the desire to immerse themselves in a new culture.

At first, the language barrier was a challenge. But with effort and determination, Nani proudly shares a recent milestone: she and her husband attended a service at an American church and understood everything from beginning to end. "It felt like a huge accomplishment," she says smiling. "For the first time, we truly felt connected to the experience and the community around us."

As a theology student, Nani has a passion for helping the community and believes in the power of faith on building meaningful connections. She describes California as a great and welcoming place.

While happy with the life they've built, Nani and her husband are already thinking about the future. One day, when they're older, they plan to return to Brazil to enjoy their retirement together and embrace the well-earned rest in their homeland with family and firends.
